Creating a huge open space for healing to pour in

My big news is that I have had my 3 month checkup and I do not have any further progression of neurological symptoms.  I have been hunkered down and totally focused on my health the last three months and have made huge changes in my life.  The main thing I am working on is creating a huge open space for healing to pour in.  I am simply being me to the fullest, allowing myself to be sad and mad sometimes, but mostly I am really happy.  I am surrounded by my family, I wake up to grandchildren getting ready for school, and a house filled with love, and I am overwhelmed by the generosity of my friends and family.  Okay, enough of that…

TOP TEN PLACES TO FAINT

  1. In the Physical Therapy gym.  Handy emergency equipment that can be whipped out and big mats to fall on.

  2. The toy department at Fred Myer.  Apparently I was overwhelmed by the low prices.

  3. Leaning over in bed to kiss Chuck, he just makes me swoon.

  4. In the driveway.

  5. In the bathroom.

  6. In the kitchen, right in front of my daughter Heather who helped me down and kept my head from bouncing on the floor.

  7. In the kitchen again, my grandson Oliver going for my dog Lucy to comfort me and setting her right on top of me while I was still out.

  8. Face plant directly onto the couch.  I am told my actual words as I went down were, “oh hi…oh shit”.

  9. In the kitchen with my friend Kay.  You know you have a real friend if they help pick you up off the floor.

  10. Outside the entrance to the hospital.  Really.  Please note that no staff member came running, although several people offered to call 911, TO TAKE ME TO THE HOSPITAL.  They could have just rolled me inside.

You were the most graceful fainter I could ever imagine. :). I love you Cathy and feel so grateful for your friendship and your willingness to let me into your personal world.

Welcome to my blog.  Here I will write about all things Cathy.
Through thick and, okay thicker, I will lead you through all kinds of metaphysical adventures, bizarre experiences and the on going journey of staying in body as long as possible with a neurodegenerative disease folding brain
    proteins into misfit origami.
